Omg. So I'm strolling around Brooklyn looking for something that looks and smells good and it's Puerto Rican. I pull up on the vitrina, the window display, and I'm stepping into a time capsule of a fonda that has every holiday meal on the menu. So much variety. My friends even came back the next day for more. I only wish I had.
Everything we had was delicious and the portions are generous enough for seconds later. Delish leftovers you can mix and match and have a delicious Puerto Rican time with. Great service too! So good! -

This is what you want for home cooked Puerto Rican food! It's a cafetería style dining establishment for the most part, but you can order off a menu and get to-go. All your proteins are at the begging. Pernil, carne frita, whole fish, salmon, patitas guisadas, and more. Then you pick your rice... There are several options. Finally, you can pick sides/salad then they give you a number. Don't worry about carrying all your tasty food, that's what the number is for. Within a minute or two you'll get your food brought out. The house hotsauce is delicious and also get some garlic mojo if that's your jam.
The pernil was a little tough like it needed a bit more in the oven, but the flavor alone was worth a happy dance! They gave me a nice portion of cuerito too! The arroz con gandules was excellent too! Will definitely be stopping back by here! -

They have a variety of meats/seafood buffet style. Usually a "lunch" box with choice of rice, protein and side comes out to be $9-$12 dollars depending on the protein. I've had the oxtail, pork and chicken stew here and they were all pretty solid. Looked like the meat would be pretty dry but no, they were all very tender. The sauce is really salty but flavorful and it's not so bad when paired with the rice.
The ladies there speak very little English but they're extremely friendly. -

Always a good place to get food from, workers are polite and stay crowded. Ordered the usual roast chicken, rice, sweet plantains, beans. Also tried there beef stew for the first time, also a great. But if your on a diet watch how much of the beef stew you eat, it's so good.

It's all good . All good . The staff is nothing short but alright . Straight to the point , literally point to any item under the sneeze guard , and you shall be served. Easy !
I like this place good food overall ,but whatever you do do not go for the potato Alcapurrias . They were literally served cold , stale and made out of boxed mashed potatoes . Not a good bargain . All potato alcapurrias are smaller but are real life potatoes. That's all!
